If you’ve seen a CP53e notice land in your mailbox, see below—your refund is still on the way!

Here is the quick breakdown of what you need to know:

• It’s just a timing thing: This notice is basically the IRS's way of saying there’s a 6-week delay in processing. It’s exactly the timeline we discussed here at the office.

• No account needed: The notice might hint that you need to go online and create an IRS account, but you can totally skip that. It’s not a requirement, and it won't speed things up.

• You're getting your money: Rest assured, you will still get your refund.
