Important Notes from Sexton's:
Speed up your visit to our office:
If you'd like an electronic profile sheet/organizer that's prefilled with your information, contact our office before January 25th and we can email you instructions on accessing that information.
Otherwise:
Come in our office to get a copy of the blank profile sheet or you can print that page at home. To print it at home, you can download the profile sheet or go to our About Us page under "Process" step "1".
Prefilled organizers:
The previously requested prefilled organizers have been sent. The electronic organizers were sent January 16th. The emails sent to clients detail how to sign in to the website to download and fill out the information. The portal website is always accessible via the above "Secure Portal" button and is also available at sextonstax.securefilepro.com. If you forgot your password to access your portal, we do not have access to that password. However, you can reset that password via the "Forgot Username/Password" link on the main page. If you haven't created a portal before, pleas review the email as it provides details on accessing the portal.
Note: The portal requests were sent to the primary email on file and you'll need the last 4 of the social for the person who is the primary name on the account if you haven't created a portal before. This is noted in the email, but is a common question we receive concerning issues signing into the portal
New clients:
We appreciate your understanding last year when we were unable to accept new clients. We are again accepting new clients on a limited referral basis. The established client must get a referral card from our receptionist for a potential new client. This card must then be redeemed by the new client by March 15, 2025 (you are considered a new client if we haven't filed your return within the last 3 years). We appreciate your continued trust in our business.
2024 Process: Please visit our Other pages to get more detail about the current year process. Note: It's the same as last year and will be more drop-off focused (with the number of walk-ins per day limited). Drop off deadline is March 15th, so be sure to drop off your return before then.
2024 Fees: Our fees are the same as last year. You can see more detail on fees on our About Us page.
IRS reminders:
The IRS recommends using their online IRS Refund Tool and creating an online account to perform most actions with the IRS as well as receive updates on your return and refund. The Account Creation page with IRS has additional information of the services provided. If you still choose to try and call the IRS, you can call 1-800-829-1040. We have instructions for that number located here to help you reach a representative. More information can be found at irs.gov/refunds.
